The school I teach at has approximately 800 middle school students attend it each year. Of those, approximately 300 are seventh graders, with 125 being my English students. Most seventh graders are just beginning to discover who they are and what their potential can be. Mine are no different! What sets mine apart is that, due to their economic background, they often come to class without the essential basics to learn not only English, but who they are capable of becoming as people.
