I teach at a middle school with 6th, 7th and 8th graders. Our school is in a semi-rural area and many have a long ride on the bus. They love the library and come in every morning to read, create music on the computer, sit in our comfy area and work on homework. They are typical teens and tweens who love technology, music, and socializing with their friends. Our students are the living definition of Digital Natives and love to interact with technology. We also have a special needs program in our building where students often need less distractions. Having a Nook which shows a single page will increase their chances of success both in reading and self direction.
