Hi! I'm Shannon Coyne, a passionate speech-language pathologist who lives for making each student have a "voice." My heart is dedicated to assisting young adults with disabilities, including those who require alternative means of communication to express wants and needs. I presently work at Opportunities Academy (OA), a rigorous, post-secondary, full-day school for scholars with intellectual and developmental disabilities. I desire for every one of my students to have access to and possess the ability to communicate effectively. I'm desiring to acquire the necessary supports required to achieve their highest levels of independence in pursuit of meaningful and fulfilling personal and professional outcomes in the areas of independent living, community access, and career readiness. Your assistance would allow for my students to possess outlets in all settings for an innate human desire and right to have a "voice!"
