My students need headphones with microphones to use in our classroom as well as in our computer lab. I use computers in my classroom as one way to individualize learning, with the i-Ready program, and having headphones will make sure that each student can work on their own learning and hear the audio. Unfortunately, not all of my students are able to bring headphones to be able to use during the day. With this donation, ALL of my students will be on the road to being successful. In our classroom, the students use technology daily, whether they are learning new material, or if they are practicing learned skills. By having the headphones for my students, they will be able to work on their computers and hear the audio to strengthen their skills without disturbing their classmates. The microphone would allow us to become more creative with our computers and utilize them for additional learning, such as the option to record their reading and thinking. Second grade is such a critical year of their education. I hope that the students leave my class with a good educational foundation that will support them through the rest of their education. With your donation, you will be helping struggling readers, students struggling in math, and ESL students hear fluent reading, develop and expand their vocabulary.
