These materials will be used in a calming corner in my office and throughout the school building. The pillows and beanbags will allow students to use a comfortable option for relaxing and sitting down. The small teepee will be used as space where a student can take a break from whatever stressful situation they are facing. Mindfulness, meditation techniques, and social-emotional learning are the primary ways we are teaching students coping skills to help them effectively deal with stress, anger, and other negative behavior. These materials will assist me in making sure our students can be the best they can be emotionally and academically.
