My Journalism Club students have released the first issue of their school newsletter in the secondary building of 21st Century Charter School in Gary, Indiana. This newsletter features interviews with school staff, current fashion trends, the school basketball game schedule, a student athlete interview and a student advice column. My students would like to continue this newsletter and create new columns throughout the year. However, they do not have access to publishing software which would allow them to create a nice reader friendly layout. Access to the Microsoft Publisher program would enable my students to create a genuine newsletter layout. In order to use the Microsoft Publisher program, they also need access to a laptop with the Windows program. In addition, they wish to be able to print newsletter pictures in color. If funded, this HP laptop & printer as well as Microsoft Publisher software will allow me to set up a workstation for students in the Journalism Club who wish to share school news with their peers. Thank you in advance for helping us make this project possible.
