With these ukuleles, students will learn the basics of playing a string instrument. Ukulele is a great starter string instrument because it is manageable for small hands and easily transferable to all other strings. Our school district offers no consistent strings program so this will be a wonderful opportunity for our students. The donations to this project will provide my students' with meaningful creative experiences and competency in music. This includes many national music standards such as reading music, performing on an instrument, and understanding music in relation to history and other cultures.
