These multicultural Cinderella stories will help broaden my students' perspectives and enable them to better understand diverse cultures. Comparing Cinderella stories will push my students to think critically about the the essential elements of a fairytale and how stories reflect information on a country’s unique culture. Students will have chances to discuss their findings to grow understanding, compassion and tolerance with all humans. My students love books and I feel it is my responsibility as their teacher to expand their horizons. I am confident that they will fall in love with these stories and the countries they come from- inspiring them to learn even more about these diverse cultures and perhaps even write their own versions of this classic fairytale.
