My students are a fantastic group of first graders attending a rural school. We have students with socio-economic statuses across the board which results in students who are vastly unique and have a variety of backgrounds and cultures to share with one another! We are so lucky! As a class, we work diligently to learn from one another in a respectful and kind community that supports social and emotional growth daily. We work to solve our problems independently and celebrate our successes. Each child in our class is seen as a whole - their experiences, backgrounds, cultures, personalities, and needs are fully-supported to ultimately reach optimal academic growth. We especially love incorporating art, STEM, teamwork, and anything that requires us to be creative into our learning!
