The addition of a light table to my integrated special education preschool classroom will provide engaging, hands on exploration. The light table and manipulatives allow students to create and learn using early math skills like patterning, sorting, color identification and counting. Early literacy activities at the light table will focus on letter identification and matching upper and lowercase letters. This new light table will also allow for a clean safe play space as all materials can be disinfected. All students will benefit from this activity in my center based classroom and have opportunities to learn and explore both with classmates and on their own in our socially distanced preschool setting.
