We are so excited to create our first Long Island native species plant and pollinator garden! The community has offered to donate some plants for us and our grounds crew will break ground so the students can plant both seeds and plants. Our students will continue to study the growth of plants from seed germination to adult plant. We will also engineer our own seed pods, signs for the garden, ways to protect our plants as they grow. This garden will give our students the opportunity to observe seeds growing in nature, in a garden setting.
