Your donation to my Chromebooks for this project would help my students improve their reading skills through access to technology. My proposal is for a set of six Chromebooks with licensing equipped with access to our new Benchmark Advanced curriculum. This is an amazing new program that is aligned with Common Core State Standards, integrated with approximately fifty percent non-fiction text and supported with a wealth of online materials. Fascinating themed units including fables, weather & climate, advancements in technology, and animal adaptations captivate these young readers. Each story is interactive, so students can read, listen to, take notes, and highlight right on the online text. This also allows for amazing practice for our state testing that my fifth graders will see for the first time in the Spring. The goal of my Chromebooks project is to provide the opportunity for ALL students to improve their reading and technology skills, so they can succeed in future grades while preparing them for college and career readiness. I appreciate your time and for considering my Chromebooks project for funding.
