One mission I have as a teacher is to show my students that artists don't always use fancy tools to make art. In our classroom, we use everything from cereal boxes to chicken-wire. If you can cut it, we can use it! But we also need some basic supplies(glue) to make the lesson STICK. The first thing I learned as an Art Teacher is just how many tools you can use to create art! I promise, I'm not a hoarder. All of the supplies in my classroom are for a specific purpose. During the year, we study influential artists from around the world and develop creative ways to study their technique or inspiration. Our kids learn best through hands-on activities, so why not make art?
