Picture it. You and your entire family pile into the family minivan. Why? It’s time to start looking at colleges. Destination? Your parents take you to where they may have attended and where they dream of you going! Your younger siblings complain about being bored, but you are not. You know that your future is upon you and your parents are helping you prepare for your future. This is something I was able to experience with my family. However, many students do not get this opportunity. We, as a school, felt it was imperative to show our kids what type of higher education was out there. I know what you’re thinking: Middle School is a long way from College. It’s really not. Students must know their requirements so that they are prepared to start their college path the first day they step foot into high school. This trip gives them the real life experience they need to envision and meet their goals.
