These books will provide a variety of options to chose from and keep the true meaning of reading while holding each book in their hands. Call me old-fashion but I love the smell of a new book or the turn of each page. I want each student to know and experience what it is like to hold a book and get lost of in their own imagination as they are introduced to new characters, explore new worlds, and escape in adventures. I want to promote self-interest without forcing a book into each child's hand. My students will have the freedom to read a book of their chose while relaxing on the carpet, lounging in a chair, or rolling up on a rug with a pillow. I am excited to see what these books will bring to my classroom and students that fill it!
