Many of my students work hard each day to overcome language barriers while establishing English vocabulary. The majority lives in poverty and has little or no literacy resources at home. Our school district rezoned the boundary lines for each school, and the demographics of our school have changed. Our enrollment increased by over 100 students. Our ELL population has doubled, and our economically disadvantaged student enrollment has increased.
