If one was to walk into our classroom you would hear students sharing their thoughts with others, asking for clarification from their peers, pencils working away or the typing of computers, and of course classical music in the background. I encourage them to be creative and always think outside the box, especially when it comes to projects. I try my best to keep the classroom very structured and organized as that helps everyone know the expectations daily. Students have told me in the past that they always feel welcomed in my room and not afraid to ask questions as they feel comfortable to be who they are. I try my best to instill in them all the simplest act of kindness, which is to be nice to everyone.
