The rubber bands will be used around the bottoms of the chairs to help those students who cannot sit without fidgeting. Students need stimulation while doing seat work and research shows that putting rubber bands helps them stay seated and concentrate. The markers will be used with white boards to check for understanding while doing guided work without having them do worksheets. The students can also use the white boards to illustrate various things such as vocabulary words. I feel that they will be more engaged with their learning if they have something to fidget with and other means of learning that don’t require paper.
