I am working to create an Action Based Learning lab space for our students to use in addition to regular physical education. Students in Kindergarten through the 5th grade will come to the ABL Lab in the mornings for enrichment. Action Based Learning is an instructional strategy based on brain research that supports the link between movement and improved academic performance. My students are very eager to " Power Up Their Neurons" by working their way through a variety of moment stations that are intentionally designed to target how the brain learns and retains information. It is exciting to watch students learn through movement and see the joy that the ABL Lab time brings to them.
