My students have numerous questions about animals and the world around them. The materials will help them focus their attention on the finer points. Their questions will be answered through investigation and observations. The materials I ordered are a result of the things my students are interested in. We are studying genetics in one of our units. My students are mostly interested in DNA and I thought that having a necklace with their DNA in it would make the connection needed. My students are also into recycling and making the world a better place. They researched compost bins and decided they would like to have one in the classroom. We plan to develop the compost and give it to the Hub Farm which belong to our school district and is near our school. My male students love bugs and are interested in their life cycle. We plan to study their life cycle as an extra curriculum activity.
