Living on the Gulf Coast is an opportunity my students have, and know little about. My goal is for all of my students to experience the Gulf Coast first hand and understand the unique and fragile ecosystems found in their own back yard! As they are close to graduating, they will create their own legacy, hopefully one of understanding the natural world around them and giving back through community service. The ability to model the effects of the many variables impacting the Gulf Coast will be simulated using aquariums in the classroom for hands on learning. Opportunities are abundant along the Gulf Coast: careers, fishing, boating, and eco-tourism, and they know little about these opportunities. Creating stewards of the Gulf Coast, understanding, enjoying, and teaching others about the unique and fragile ecosystems is a goal of Mrs. C's Aquatics!
