As a 7th grade English teacher, I strive to make reading fun for all of my learners. Over the years I have found one of the best ways to do this is by giving my students a choice when it is time to read. Independent and small group reading have been the most successful ways to instill the love I wish my students to have in books and thus learning. We all can think back to a book we hated to read in school and I want to try and minimize that (at least for 7th grade). These books will help give my students more variety for their independent and small group reading assignments, and the book cases will ensure that the books are not piled up in bins and can last throughout the years. This way my students are learning the concepts they need to with books they care about. If you could donate to this project, that would help add to my English classroom and my students' learning. I want to thank you for taking a look and helping my class in whatever way you can!
