I teach Grade 10 English and AP English Literature at a small, public, urban high school. I love what I do and want to inspire my students to lead independent literate lives! Our student body is diverse: approximately 50% of the student population is African American, and generally up to 40% qualify for free or reduced lunch. While our student body may be underserved within their urban community, our school attempts to provide a rigorous college-preparatory curriculum and authentic learning opportunities for all students, regardless of their background.
