My students are Special Education students grade 6-12. They often feel set aside and as though they can't keep up with their peers. Bullying is a problem in our school and the smaller population (My students) are often bullied. Besides using these Lego's in class for Math, English (writing about what they created) and Social Studies; I want to start an after school building club. By allowing my students to use Lego's to express themselves and having other students join them and partake in creating something together, I'm hoping of building friendships that can help them in the future. Lego's is a plain in where my students are on the same level as every other child and pure learning and friendships can and will develop.
