Flocabulary uses an innovative and meaningful method to support the skill development of Readers and Writers! (in fact, science, math, and history are included too!). By integrating relevant music such as Hip Hop with content area skill development, students are able to learn in an engaging and interactive way. My students are all reading far below their grade levels, and by integrating Flocabulary into our lessons, they will have access to music to help them remember and practice reading skills! When done right, music is a fabulous tool to support students in the classroom. Further, the Plickers cards are an incredible way to merge technology and assessment in the classroom. This app allows me to assess my students' understanding of a concept or lesson and gives me immediate feedback regarding their progress. This is so important for responding to and planning instruction in the classroom.
