As a literacy coach I get to teach in grades K, 1 and 2. I have four wonderful classes at each grade level with whom I collaborate. We use Fountas and Pinnell resources as well as Teachers College Writing Units of Study. Our school is a STEM school with an emphasis on science, technology, engineering and math. Yet, our students are high risk, inner-city youngsters on free lunch and breakfast. So learning to read is a top priority.

About my class
