Students live in a rural environment and have chosen to attend a public charter school. Some students are English learners and others receive special services. The classroom community includes an ethnic blend which includes several students of Hispanic, Native American, and African American background. All the students intend to attend a four year university, which is why they are attending a college preparatory charter school.
