SEPjr is a computer science program that allows students to engage in foundational computer science, such as coding and robotics. It balances rigorous and meaningful direct instruction with open-ended creative computing. My students need access to computers in order to participate to the fullest degree in the SEPjr program. With the access to Chromebooks, they will participate in lessons in coding that will give them the opportunity to have open-ended creative computing opportunities. They will be using the computers almost daily to participate in these programs. Through this program I aim to introduce my students to computer science, in hopes of sparking a curiosity and passion they can ultimately pursue as a career.
