We hope to celebrate our students for their perseverance in applying and being accepted to college and planning for their future by giving our deserving students the requested items. Many of our students are from low income families or are the first generation to attend college and these items will help them as they transition into the more independent stage of their life. These items will be given away at our College Signing Day assembly. The items requested will be useful to those that receive the items as they transition into dorm or college life. For many of our students, financing college will be a monumental task, so by providing our students with refrigerators, microwaves, fans, coffee pots, and laundry essentials we hope to give them an extra appreciated boost as they start their college career. These items we carefully selected to make that first year at college a little more comfortable so our students can focus on the academic challenges colleges brings. Because this is our second year doing a signing event, we hope the addition of this very special give away will boost the student engagement and make this a unforgettable experience.
