The students with whom I am working for this project are sophomores, juniors, and seniors in my Spanish classes at a small public high school just outside Pittsburgh, PA. Many of the families in my district struggle financially, and all students receive free breakfasts and lunches. However, despite the challenges they may face, my students are inquisitive, creative, and passionate. In fact, my students are the driving force behind this project. I am simply doing my part to help them realize their dream to experience international travel and use the Spanish they have learned in class to interact with people in Costa Rica!

About my class
