It is my goal to give my 1st graders a love for learning. I try to do this by making learning fun and developmentally appropriate. We do a lot of hands-on activities, both guided and independent. In order to facilitate this style of learning my classroom must be organized, have a good flow for movement, and have clear boundaries. My school is in a high poverty area. My classroom funds are spent on supplies that students may or may not bring in at the beginning of the year and will need to be replaced mid year. There is not much left for anything else. Please help support the learning in my classroom. Thank you.
