This carpet will serve many purposes for my classroom. It will help create a positve learning enviroment in many ways. First, it will serve as a meeting place for our morning meetings. This way my students can sit collectively in a circle to engage in teamwork activities and share ideas. Also, it will serve as a safe place for students to sit and independently read or partner read. Many times students like to get out of their chairs and get comfortable with a good book! Finally, the reason I picked this style of carpet is because it will reinforce social studies concepts and map skills with its unique design. The carpet comes with 10 map skill lessons that will reinforce my students' concepts of the United States!
