Block play is an important part of early education. It gives students a chance to explore with shapes, develop mathematical abilities, strengthen problem-solving skills, develop social skills, and practice a variety of language skills. However, block play can be limited by the environment. An environment can either encourage or discourage play. Children get frustrated when they cannot easily move through an environment, or find what they need. The environment needs to be thoughtfully designed and materials for play need to be well organized. These shelves will allow the students to easily find the building items they need to complete their projects. The organized material will encourage students to explore new and different building material to expand their learning potential.
