In order to help enhance my students' vocabulary, while also exposing them to new concepts, I'd like to expand the nonfiction section of my classroom library. I want them to have easy access to books on varying levels that are new and engaging, and inspire them to learn more about the world they live in. "Reading is to the mind, what exercise is to the body." I want science to come alive in the classroom through vivid pictures and text. The exposure to science rich vocabulary will help foster their learning when we experiment in class. This project will make a huge difference by helping to spark a love of reading in all my students. We all know that research shows the more you read, the more you know. I look forward to watching my students fall in love with learning through literature.
