The Dot and Dash robots can be used in class to make lessons in all subjects more interactive and will improve student engagement. Through research we see that when students are more engaged they are more successful. Dot and Dash can be used in all subjects and provides students with the opportunity to learn computer coding skills. One way Dot and Dash can be used in reading is by having a center that focuses on retelling stories and story elements. Students can use dash to go to a certain box based on a task card and they could write or talk to their group about a story that was read by answering the questions on the board or mat that Dash moves to. This can also be applied in math by using a mat/board with equations written on it, and students could move Dash to the box that has the equation that matches the answer on a task card. Dot and Dash really make learning fun!
