Life is full of experiences. In kindergarten, we learn about the basic experiences that give us a chance to build dendrites to further our knowledge for future endeavors. This begins with use of imagination and exploration. The various materials requested will be the building blocks of this exploration. The light cube, for example, will be center in the classroom for the students to explore with light, x-rays, and other sensory materials. The art materials will be used for the students to explore different mediums such as the oil pastels. I would like the students to explore how different mediums work together to create different effects and ultimately create beautiful works of creative art. These materials will give my kindergarten students the opportunity to be creative in an educational setting. This project will help my students to become well rounded individuals in their growth, through their personal experiences in kindergarten, while gaining an appreciation and respect for the "art" and "science" elements in the world. I am eager to teach these students about organization and how it helps in your daily life to create smooth transitions and easier learning. This is where our chair pack buddies will come in handy. The students will stay organized and have more room to have meaningful learning opportunities. Such experiences as these, will hopefully make them better critical thinkers and give them the ability to be our leaders of tomorrow.
