I am a middle school opportunity teacher/reading specialist. I teach 6-8 grade students who are severely struggling academically and behaviorally in their mainstream classes. These students spend a part of the day in my classroom receiving intense literacy strategies/skills along with behavioral support. Our school funds are dismal, because of the district budget. Our school supplies depend upon the hard working families of my students. My students are hard working and put in the work it takes to be successful in their content area classes. This task can be difficult when certain supplies are not readily available.

About my class
