These materials will help my students continue to engage in STEM projects as a form of enrichment. STEM kits and activities are great for my identified gifted kids because these students often plateau in the regular classroom. These STEM materials can advance their skill levels and help them to problem-solve at more advanced levels. They will be working in groups to discover and create ways to build projects and attain goals. One of my goals is to spark more interest in engineering, especially for my female students. We are a very high poverty school. My students most likely would not get to experience these types of challenges outside of my gifted enrichment class.
