Kindergarten is where the love of learning begins! My classroom is filled with twenty very active, inquisitive, happy five and six year olds in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. At this age everything is new and exciting to them. In my classroom, we utilize different materials to keep the kids engaged such as, technology, flexible seating, and many manipulatives. My goal is to create an environment that nurtures and encourages my children to be risk-takers. I teach a traditional half day kindergarten program and an afternoon Enrichment Program where students are given reinforcement, intervention and enrichment of the concepts and skills taught during the regular morning Kindergarten. This program gives students a strong academic base and prepares them for a successful school career. I am continually looking for ways to keep the energy high in my busy kindergarten classroom.
