We are a 3rd Grade Inclusion classroom in Maplewood, NJ. My co-teacher and I work together to teach a diverse group of 23 boys and girls from South Orange and Maplewood. Our school receives Title 1 funding because over 47% of our student come from low income families. Our student population is a diverse mix of learners with students of different backgrounds and abilities. In our classroom, we have a mix of students both with general education needs and special education needs. Some students need accommodations and modifications to the general education curriculum to succeed. However, our goal is for all students to be able to learn alongside one another.
