The students I have a privilege serving all receive special education services to support communication. These kids all communicate in different ways. I have students that are nonverbal and use communication devices, students that use sign language, and students that are exclusively verbal. Much of my therapy to improve communication is done with interesting visual aids, hands on materials, and motivating "kid centered" games. Our school has a high number of students and families who are in transition and our free and reduced lunch rate is 74%.
