Technology is becoming unavoidable in the classrooms today. My students need to be able to access the full resources and advantages of today's technology. Alexa can help us! She can tell us the weather in the morning for calendar time, she can tell us the time during math, she can play our favorite tune during music minute, she can answer "how do you spell.." a lot quicker than me, and most importantly, she can assist my nonverbal communicators effectively and comfortably.
Alexa, we want you! She can tell us a random fact during class discussions and journal topics. She can pick a number between 1 and 10 when we are deciding who gets to read their journal first to the class. She can tell us the definition and a synonym during our spelling and vocabulary time. She can set a time for our "five-minute break," and our "20-minute partner read." With this attached light bulb, Alexa can help me begin and end group time, inform students that they are being too loud, or simply we are changing subjects (this is perfect for my nonverbal students). And the best part, my students can command her!
Alexa has a ton of possibilities. It will give my students an extra set of ears and an extra helper! Donating to this cause will allow my students to use technology to improve their every day learning. You will be increasing my student's attention and motivation. This device is the perfect accessory to our learning each and every day. Please help us get an Alexa!
