For this project, I'm requesting a class set of ribbon streamers so my 425 K-5 will be able to explore music through beautiful movement. The DVD is a collection of classical music pieces with choreographed movements students follow along with using props such as scarves and ribbon streamers. All ages can use these tools and they fit perfectly for both 5th graders and Kindergarten students. Tools such as scarves and ribbon streamers help show the connection between music and movement. Seeing ribbons float through the air mimics musical phrasing or long tones. These ribbons will be used in lessons focusing on creative movement, active listening, choral performances, song games, and much more.
