The rug will make a difference in my students learning by allowing them to have a safe space where they can focus on learning. When the students have a rug that's big enough to comfortably fit everyone, then they no longer worry about other students bothering them, being squished or accidentally getting hurt. Having a rug with special spots for each students makes them more excited about coming to the carpet to learn. For Kindergarten students to learn academically they first have to learn how to be a student. A big part of that is learning to stay in your own space and keep your hands to yourself. Students are more excited to learn when they have a fun and safe place.

About my class
