Tower gardens have been designed to grow plants/herbs like a garden outdoors expect we can do it in our classroom!!! My students learn about all different types of cooking and seasoning. The tower garden will teach my students how to have life skills in growing a garden. This will also help during cooking labs where students would be at an advantage having fresh herbs in hand. The tower garden will also help with classroom expenses since I will not have to buy these items at a store. During the beginning of our school year, we will be able to study herbs/plants. We will then decide what we would like to plant and get to work. We typically enter the kitchen a month into the new school year. Hopefully, this will allow time for our tower garden to have some growth we can cook with.
