Having these materials at the finger tips of my amazing students will afford them with the opportunity to become familiar with animals and plants that are not a part of their daily environment. These National Geographic Readers will literally allow my students to explore a whole new world! Just by opening these books, my students will see Science come to life in a way that will be unique and meaningful. By making a financial contribution to our classroom project, you are assisting me as I endeavor to connect the Science they are learning, to the reality they will hopefully experience in their adult lives. The positive impact of these materials on my students is almost endless! Not only will the students gain an understanding of diverse plants and animals above and below sea level, the students will begin to think critically. The majority of my students have a strong dependency on their visual and spatial learning modality. Because of this truth, the brilliant photographs used by National Geographic are essential for my students to grasp the initial concept, and extend their learning as the opportunity presents itself.
