Flexible seating will change the tone in our classroom environment! At the beginning of the year, I purchased ten kick bands that go on the bottom of their chairs to help some students. Those ten students kick, rest, or bounce on those bands and produce quality work. Now, I realize that all of my students would benefit from individualized or specialized seating. The balance ball chairs, comfy floor seats, wobble chairs and round floor table could give the choice back to the students and ultimately motivate them to do their best! The few comfy seat I have right now are very popular and have to be rotated. Many students will complain their seats are uncomfortable and would rather sit on the floor. I want to help get these students comfortable and focused by switching full force to flexible seating!
