These books and shelves will truly help my students to improve their literacy skills and hopefully, instill a love of reading. By having books prominently displayed and available, they can be inspired and encouraged to explore genres and themes that may have been unavailable to them. As a language arts teacher, I want to be able to ensure that my students will always have a good book to read. Reading is absolutely fundamental and this is more that just a cliché. Students will be able to increase grades, vocabulary, and test scores through reading. Reading fiction helps children to build positive relationships. By reading non-fiction, students are able to gain specific knowledge on any topics they wish. I want to create a positive culture for reading.
