The supplies that we are hoping for are required materials that students need for our class. Many of our kids cannot afford even the little things, and we do not want any student to say, "I wish I could join band, but I can't afford it." This is just unacceptable. Every student should be able to learn how to play music. We have a growing program, which means the need for more supplies. We have many times where we have to move percussion equipment and we do not have anything to move our instruments in to where they can be protected. The students are of small stature and are asked to work together to carry percussion equipment. The instruments are often heavy and awkward to carry. The items on the list, including percussion equipment, horn hand guards, and drum covers, will help ensure the safety of the students and the equipment. We are getting travel cases so that it becomes easier for students to move percussion equipment. These items may seem small to some, but they are crucial in every student's learning and success in music and as well as in education. We truly hope that you support fine arts and education through DonorsChoose!
