A goal at our school is to raise the reading scores of all of our students. I want to provide my students with the best and most diverse reading library to choose from when it comes to our silent sustained reading time. It is important to make reading relevant to my students' daily lives. I have found that my students like reading when the subject matter is something that they can personally connect to, so my goal is to build a library that we can be proud of, and that represents the very diverse population that I serve! I want to help my students learn to love reading! We also need a few bookcases to house those books and a technology cart for in class presentations of what we have read!
